RØDE Microphones is looking for passionate, talented and dedicated Events and Internal Communications Manager on a 12 month contract  to join our rapidly-growing team.

Part of The Freedman Group, RØDE is a leading manufacturer of high-quality microphones and audio equipment, which can be found in studios, venues, on-location, and in the hands of creatives in every corner of the world. Our products are designed and primarily manufactured by our industry-leading team in Sydney and are exported to over 119 countries globally through more than 6000 dealers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Sweetwater, Guitar Center, Thomann and JB Hi-Fi. Our employees are passionate, hard working, talented and are pivotal to our success.

We are looking for an experienced events and communications professional to join our team to take ownership of our entire events calendar and internal comms program.

This critical role reports to the Marketing Director, and will involve significant interaction with the CEO as well as the company Founder when delivering major events.

As well as managing the event calendar (2 x large scale events per year, at least one of which is international, plus 6-10 smaller events per year including on-campus celebrations, trade shows and VIP tours) this role also covers managing our internal communications calendar, including ensuring our internal intranet is up to date, company notices and events are appropriately publicised and our internal culture is maintained and enhanced.

Whilst we do use event agencies and external support teams, the RØDE philosophy is one of self-reliance and internal ownership, so you would be expected to be comfortable with all aspects of event management – from high-level planning and budgeting through to checking the smallest details on the ground at the event.

Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Project Management or related disciplines is welcome, but proven experience is more important

Our campus is designed to create an atmosphere which reflects our love of cutting edge technology, collaboration, and our deep connection to music, film and all things audio. Our production facilities are cutting-edge and are constantly expanding as we increase our capability with new manufacturing technologies and processes. RØDE’s investment in our in-house capability is aggressive, unmatched in the industry. Our plant boasts the finest technologies in metal engineering and production, Surface-Mount Technology electronics production, military grade finishing, plastic-injection mould manufacture, and a brand-new, best-practice toolmaking facility.
