We are looking for a PCB Technician focused on electronic board level repairs based in Sydney’s Silverwater

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Component level board repairs and rework
  • Circuit diagram analysis
  • Remove/replace surface-mount and through-hole components to a high standard
  • Competent operation of an oscilloscope
  • Strong soldering and de-soldering skills with the ability to replace components down to 0201 sizes, fine pitch ICs/connector.
  • Read schematics, data sheets and testing.
  • Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured PCBA to determine root cause.

You will provide repairs to electro-mechanical equipment within the SMT department. Working in a team that is friendly and driven, you will have a demonstrated ability in the repair of electro-mechanical equipment. 

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronic Engineering
  • Proven excellent soldering and de-soldering skills  (Surface Mount Components)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and be able to follow detailed schematic diagrams
  • Trouble shooting electronic faults
  • Can work safely at all times, report hazards and incidents
  • Have excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask and prioritise work
  • Strong circuit theory of both digital and analogue circuits
  • Previous experience of electronic repairs at board level is mandatory
