Behind the scenes of ADEN

I love Artificial Intelligence. As well try my best to understand what goes on inside their head (er, parts?).
When I first came up with the idea, I knew I wanted to be able to visualize the whole film through the A.I.'s point of view.
Luckily for me, it was pretty simple to achieve this look. All I needed to do was make sure the lighting looked accurate, and I didn't simply rely on the light found in my environment. I had some friends who let me borrow some of their more high-end lighting equipment, and we set to work.

Sound was another big factor for me. I knew that since we wouldn't be moving around much, I would need to capture as much good-quality sound as I could. So I used my VideoMicro mic, and paired it with a H4N one of my friends let me use. That made for a great sounding combo. I was able to capture every breath and cough from my talent's lines.

The VFX were another major factor for me, I had a sort-of UI (user interface) look in my head, and before I had to worry about it, an experienced VFX artist friend of mine was willing to make a few mockups of the UI with his imagination. It turned out way better than I had expected! That's pretty much what you see in the film.
