This is the true story of our son, Job, who was diagnosed with Trisomy 13, a rare genetic disorder that would take his life. We filmed for months leading up to his birth in March, all the way to his funeral a week later. This is emotionally heavy and powerful. Parents would be cautioned to not let young children watch this alone. The song my wife sings is the same song playing throughout, and licensing was done through Music Services. Thanks for watching and please share with others!
Behind the scenes of Job David Alejandro
So much of the story could not be told in 3 minutes, but we did our best to tell the most important parts so you could understand just how important our son's life was to us. I shot video for months since we learned my wife was pregnant. I decided to shoot this as a documentary because I wanted to tell Job's story as we were looking forward to his birth. When he passed away before he was born, all the plans changed and the format changed into us talking about what we were expecting and what ended up happening. I shot most of the video myself with a Panasonic GH3, GH2, and GoPro Hero4 Silver. I edited on Final Cut ProX Trial version to test it out and I ended up liking it. In the BTS, I used one song provided by Music Bed for the contest. The photos shown were taken by my friend Josh, my father, or by our photographer from Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. Please share our story with others you know may be hurting after the loss of a child. Thank you.
