We tried to represent a hypothetical dystopic not-too-distant future, where a monk who lives in perfect balance between faith and science has decided to put his knowledge to the service of what remains of humanity.
What men destroyed over the centuries, could still be rebuilt.

The location, an ancient and suggestive convent of friars built in the 1400s, provided the inspiration for the realization of the script.
We also built small electronic circuits to realize the beating heart of the mysterious beings coming from space.
We recorded live the noises produced by the old needle printer, we picked up from the ether the sounds and voices emitted by the old radio and we also recorded the squeak of the cicadas and the crickets that have accompanied us during night shooting.
For the final scene we wanted to use real butterflies and, for the purpose, we tried to breed caterpillars turned into beautiful butterflies, but unfortunately an abnormal rise in temperature nullified our work.
As a result, with no more time available to repopulate the breeding, we were forced to resort to computer graphics.
